Kitchen Design and Installation in Glenfield LE3, Leicester

What happens when a previous happy customer comes back for more? That’s exactly what happened in this case, where we had previously done fantastic work on their bathrooms in Leicester. This time, they wanted us to redo their kitchen, which was part of a three-bedroom terraced house. Wondering how we achieved this incredible transformation for this customer? Take a look below at this kitchen installation in Glenfield, LE3.

How we fit in the new kitchen units

Regarding the kitchen units, we managed to put in extra wall cabinets, which the customer previously didn’t have, as well as adding a tall larder unit. We were also able to reinstall the customer’s fridge freezer into the kitchen space, making it much bigger and more vibrant. In addition, we added a splashback above the kitchen units. The customer also requested to have a shelf in the kitchen area to replace what had previously been three shelves before.

Redoing the flooring

The customer went for a wood-effect floor type, which looks very contemporary and modern. It also looks rustic, going with the theme of the laminate worktop and the kitchen units themselves. While the wooden floor was tiled and grouted, it has retained the look of a wooden floor, despite the customer choosing porcelain tiles. We also had to screet the floor and add a self-levelling adhesive compound down to bring the floor up to a standard where we could tile on top of the floor.

Replacing an old leaking tap and a gas pipe

The customer also had an old stock tap, which was leaking before and which we completely replaced. We also removed an old gas pipe that was connected to a freestanding hob and oven.

Ensuring colour uniformity of the appliances

The customer went for an induction hob full burner and also went for all-black in terms of appliances. As such, the customer had a black extractor hood, black oven and black hob, which married up with the customer’s existing washing machine, which was black in colour as well.

Adding the finishing touches

We painted the kitchen throughout, and installed ceiling cladding and eight ceiling spotlights. This has given the customer a maintenance-free ceiling, along with the skirting boards and walls that we painted as well.

The final result

We completely modernised the whole area and the feel of the kitchen. Overall, the customer is very satisfied. This project took 14 days to complete, from start to finish.
